Authorship

All listed authors must have made a substantive contribution. Beams supports up to 30 co-authors per submission. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring all collaborators have approved the final submitted version.

University of the Visayas Ethical Guidelines

Beams expects all submissions to comply with the COPE guidelines. Plagiarism, duplicate submission, fabricated data, and undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for immediate rejection and may be reported to the authors' institutions.

What is the primary goal of this conference?

The conference is designed to be a premier platform for researchers, practitioners, and students to present innovative work, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote a culture of high-quality, ethical research.

Who is eligible to participate?

The event is open to a wide range of participants, including:

- Faculty members and professional researchers.

- Postgraduate and undergraduate students.

- Industry practitioners.

What are the possible outcomes of the review?

Authors will receive one of three decisions: Accepted, Accepted with Revisions, or Rejected. If revisions are required, authors must address reviewer comments within the specified timeframe.

Are co-authored papers allowed?

Yes, co-authored papers are welcome. However, at least one author must register and attend the conference to present the work.

How will I know if my paper was accepted?

Acceptance notifications will be sent directly to the email address provided during submission.

What are the presentation formats?

Oral Presentations: These typically last 10–15 minutes, followed by a Q&A session. Please use PowerPoint or PDF formats.

Poster Presentations: Authors must be present during assigned sessions. Specific size and formatting requirements will be shared following acceptance.

Is the registration fee refundable?

Generally, registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in official communications.

What are the ethical expectations?

Participants must adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity. This includes proper citation, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and professional conduct. Harassment or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

Are there prizes for outstanding work?

Yes! To celebrate excellence, we present the following awards:
- Best Paper Award
- Best Poster Presentation

All participants and presenters will receive Certificates of Participation and Presentation respectively.
